The Journey
Just getting started? Need a guide to help you? Healing from injuries or deal with chronic conditions? Wherever you are at, SurfHab mentoring may be just what you need.
One-on-One Mentoring
Like any discipline, it's great to study the subject in different ways - practicing it, thinking about it, participating in peer groups and meeting with your mentor regularly. Mentoring is great for surfers wanting to round out their learning and to have the presence of someone right there with them. We slow down for a time and look into particular aspects that can't be focused on while in the water or while socializing with peers. We also address difficulties and challenges, then set goals and have weekly assignments.
Meetings
Typically we meet in person either at a surf spot or at the office. If one of us is unable to meet together, we have the option of a phone or video meeting.
Here below are the three main focuses of The Surf Haberdashery's mentoring club. At our consultation, we discuss your picture, goals and needs. We'll select which of the three focuses are right for you. Click on any to read more.

Your Mentor
Anna is a local surfer, enjoying the surf life with all it has to offer. She had a dream as a youth to be a surfer but left home for some time. When Anna returned she started and hasn't stopped! She has been in the water anywhere from 1 to 5 times a week for several years now. It is an equal passion with her first career as a concert pianist. Anna grew up playing piano, got a piano performance degree, then became a professional musician in the Boston area for 15 years. She has returned home to surf and enjoys the grand beauty of the California coastline. Anna loves to share her passion about both music and surfing, finding many similarities between the two. Please visit her concert pianist website to hear her music and see when she is playing concerts.
